How to add a new course

Taking the first step is essential towards selling your course online. If you are about to get started, we are glad to have you on board.


After you sign up, you can easily create a course from your Dashboard.

Go to your Dashboard > Content > Courses  > Create Course to produce your first course.

The above step will show you a form where you need to select the course and enter the Course Title & Course Instructor.




Finally, click on the "Submit" button.




Now that you have created your course, it’s time to fill up other significant information. You will be redirected to a page with the following broad headings namely Details, Category, Pricing, SEO and Advanced. 




Details

This page contains the basic details of the course which would be visible to the learners in the Website store page.


a) Course Title: The title of the course is the name of the course under which the course would be published.

b) Course Instructor: The instructor is the name of the teacher who is teaching that particular course.

c) Language: This determines the language of the course taught.

d) Course Cover Image: The course cover is the image which will be displayed to the learner for that particular course.

e) Course  Description: This is visible to learners under overview section. This should include complete information about the course, which would influence the learners' decision to subscribe to the course.

f) How to Use: This includes an instruction text by the institute for the learners about how to use the course.

g) Course Tagline: This is visible below the add to cart button on the course details page. This should include concise information about the course.

h) List course for sale: The course will be visible to learner on store page, depends on the option selected here. The website option will make the course available at store page but when selecting private as option, the course will not be visible to learner on store page. Selecting the course as private, allows the course to be visible only under my course page to the learner who is enrolled in that course.

i) Show Advanced Options: To enable more advanced feature options, click on “Show Advanced Options” which will include following options:


  1. Make it freely available for learners on sign up: By enabling this feature you allow the course to by default get added into the learner’s my course the moment they sign-up.
  2. ​Show validity to learners (my courses): By selecting this option will show the time period of the course, till what date the course will be accessible further. To disable the option you need to select the “no” option.
  3. Show Learners Count on Course Detail: The number of learners taking your course is automatically visible in the course details. To disable the option you need to select the “no” option.



To save the above information, click on “Save” before proceeding to the next section.
